JADE V’s Uprising Event. Friday 19th February 2010
During October 2009’s Half Term break the Rother Valley South Area Assembly contributed Devolved Budget funding towards Diversionary events for Young People. From the funding the Area Assembly Team joined up with JADE, Elected Members, South Yorkshire Police, Youth Service and other partners to hold a dance event for young people.
The JADE V’s Uprising event attracted over 200 young people to the Dinnington Resource Centre to spend a night dancing and showing off their glow sticks. The event was so successful that another Uprising event was arranged for the February half term break.
