The Safer Neighbourhood Team operate at a Neighbourhood/Area Assembly level.  They are a multi-agency team that work together on the basis of shared information and are committed to tackling Local Crime and Disorder issues.

Teams consist of local Police Officers (Police Constables, Special Constables and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO's), the Rotherham North Neighbourhood Manager, Neighbourhood Champions, Rotherham Wardens, Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers, Streetpride, Anti Social Behaviour Specialists, Children and Young People's Services and also have strong local links within the Community they serve.

 CCTV Cameras

 The Rother Valley West Area Assembly Team are asking community members where they would like CCTV cameras installing to help fight crime and anti-social behaviour in their area. The team, along with the Police, would like communities to identify where they think they would be best placed.

Anyone who wants to nominate a location for the cameras should contact the Rother Valley West Area Assembly Team on 01709 254145 or complete the application form attached   application form (19 Kb).  Completed forms should be returned to: Rother Valley West Area Assembly Office, Aston Customer Service Centre, Worksop Road, Swallownest, Sheffield  S26 4WD or email to: rothervalley.west@rotherham.gov.uk

Through community consultation with residents from Rother Valley West the following areas have been identified and CCTV cameras have been installed:-

1.  Aston – Junction Aughton Lane/Workshop Road

2.   Brinsworth – Brinsworth/Junction Ellis Street

3.   Thurcroft – Green Arbour Road/opposite Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall, Green Arbour     Road/opposite Katherine Road, Green Arbour Road/Junction Sandy Lane

The cameras will help to reduce crime related issues.
