PAT MICHAEL

Hi, I'm Pat Michael, the Community Involvement Officer for the Rotherham North Area Assembly.

I began my employment with Rotherham Council in May 1994 working in Housing Services before taking up the position of Support Officer for Rotherham North Area Assembly, undertaking a six month secondment as Community Development Worker for the Greasbrough area before returning to the Area Assembly as Community Planning Officer.

My approach to the work I undertake is underpinned by personal commitment to community development principles and the promotion of mutual respect and support with a recognition that groups and individuals must be allowed to develop their own agendas at their own pace.

I am particularly committed to partnership initiatives that promote growth and achievement for the individual, the community and the local authority. 

HELEN BANERJEE

I have worked with the Area Assembly Team as a Community Support Officer since November 2006 having previously worked for Children and Young People’s Services. In April 2008 I moved from Rother Valley South Area Assembly to Rotherham North Area Assembly.

I am responsible for servicing the Area Assembly meetings, Co-ordinating Group meetings and Neighbourhood Action Group meetings. I also deal with enquiries made to the Area Assembly office. Over the next 12 months I will be focusing on promoting the work of the Area Assembly and our partners through our website. I will also be producing a local monthly newsletter to keep all residents informed of the work we are doing.
