Welcome to the Wentworth South Area Assembly website. The Area Assembly covers the 3 wards of Rawmarsh, Silverwood and Valley. The chairperson of the Area Assembly is Councillor Paul Lakin.

The population of 35,577 is dispersed to several urban and rural areas. The Rawmarsh and Parkgate urban areas lie in the west of the Assembly. In the centre lies the small urban community of Thrybergh, and beyond which are the rural areas of Hooton Roberts and Ravenfield. The south features the suburban areas of Ravenfield Common and Brecks and the urban areas of East Herringthorpe, Dalton and part of Herringthorpe.
