There are 4 members of staff who work within the Wentworth Valley Area Assembly.

AREA PARTNERSHIP MANAGER
DARREN SMITHSON
Hi, my name is Darren Smithson and I am the Area Partnership Manager for Wentworth Valley.
I have 20 years experience in partnership working including with the BBC and IBM.
I helped set up the Safer Neighbourhood Team project in barnsley, running the flagship Safer Neighbourhood Team for the area where I learned the lesson that community involvement in key issues is vital to long term success. My greatest achievement at Rotherham is the  Community Engagement Database which is now being adopted by the whole of Rotherham Borough Council.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT OFFICERS
MICK STOWE & JANICE CURRAN
Mick and Janice share the post of Community Involvement Officer.
Mick has worked for the Council since 1997 originally as a Community Development Worker on Woodland Drive in North Anston. Mick currently works in Maltby where many initiatives have previously taken place because of the Maltby Plan. The plan brought together statutory, community and voluntary sector organisations, to work for Maltby and remove barriers for participation.
Janice has worked for the Council since March 2000, initially as a Community Development Worker for Rawmarsh. She joined the Wentworth Valley Area Assembly in June 2007 and currently works in Wickersley, Hellaby and Bramley. Hellaby celebrated the launch of their Community Plan in November 2006 and the Hellaby Community Project Group continues to progress actions identified in the plan. The Wickersley Community Plan Group has, over the past year, undertaken a number of consultation exercises with the Wickersley community. In the future they hope to work in partnership with service providers to develop actions that will meet the needs and aspirations identified.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT OFFICER
KATHRYN ROYSTON
Kathryn has recently been appointed the Community Support Officer for Wentworth Valley.
She started the role in July 2007 and has been a valuable member of the team since the day she arrived to work with us. She undertakes the day to day admin work and keeps the office running smoothly.
