In 2004 'Zesh' became the first British Asian to play in the Premier League at Fulham Football Club this year he won the Football League, Community Player of the year award for his outstanding work in the community especially with young people.

 

The Masbrough group with RUCST was invited to watch a Bradford City game and meet Zesh and ask him questions relating to football, his career and the barriers he faced. Zesh is an excellent role model for young British Asians having played at the highest domestic level and represented Pakistan at international level.
