The Whiston Cinema Club which was initially funded by Neighbourhood Renewal Funding has gone from strength to strength. Volunteers, with support from the Rotherham South Area Assembly Team have applied for and been successful in obtaining two pots of continuation funding from Global Grants Key Fund and more recently the Rural Target Fund.
The success of the project has been judged primarily by the young people of Whiston who vote with their feet, and their feet have been increasingly headed towards this friday night Cinema Club project.
