Following a Co-ordinating Group meeting and a public Area Assembly meeting, where all the projects which were submitted were discussed, the proposals then went to Cllr Akhtar, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, and were given final approval. A cheque for £3,500 was presented to Alan Ramsden and members of Millmoor Juniors Football Club on 25th April 2009 by Cllr Jahangir Akhtar, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Cllr Keith Goulty, Rotherham North Area Assembly Vice Chair, and Cllr Lindsay Johnston, Rotherham North Area Assembly Chair.
There will be a number of other projects being delivered throughout Rotherham North over the next 12 months including the lighting of the Multi Use Games Area on South Street, Improvements to Greasbrough War Memorial and several projects providing activities for young people.
